Linux Operative System (OS) presents a whole series of advantages over other operative systems, such as Windows. Next we are going to describe the most important advantages:

Most versions of Linux are free and there are resources in which we can find almost any kind of software that is very cheap or free.

Linux is a operative system that is very stable. It's very uncommon the need to restart the OS to keep its performance, it won't freeze, and it can be worked on for a lot of days or years without having to restart it.
c) Performance
Computers with Linux installed usually have a higher performance and it can manage a lot of users simultaneously without loosing performance.
d) Functionality in networks
Linux was specially designed to work in networks, so his performance when working in network is superb and safe.
e) Flexibility
Linux can be configured to have a higher performance as a server or workstation, whereas other operative systems we have to buy different versions to work with.
f) Distribution
There are many variations of Linux called distributions. Each include a set of specific packages and configurations for that distribution, which lets the user choose the version that is more convenient for his needs.

Linux is one of the safest operative systems in the market and perfectly limit the users, so they don't mess with the work of other users and it's virtually free.
h) Open source
Linux code is open and available for any user to be modified and improved to fit his needs.
